Health & Honey - Using Nature's Nectar to Improve Health
Saturday, February 5, 2022
1-3 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. @ Next to Nature Farm
We are excited to offer this make-and-take class at Next to Nature Farm to address how to use honey for making healthy products that can boost your immunity and help you feel better. Honey has been used for literally thousands of years as not only food but also a medicinal product in many different cultures. Its natural properties make it a great addition to any diet, and actually work wonders in our bodies, from a remedy to a cosmetic product.
In this class, we will create four products that use our local, raw honey for health and wellness benefits. We will create a gummy using fruit and honey, a product to help open up sinus passageways and relieve congestion, a honey cough drop, and an elderberry syrup to help with immunity boosting. All products will have recipes and information on where to find additional products needed to make more at home.
The class will provide all the materials you need for the three products and offer a half hour of information on essential oils (absolutely no selling or request for you to buy oils will be a part of this class). We are just going to share our knowledge on the benefits of using a handful of tried-and-true oils.
Class is limited to 8. Two classes offered on Saturday, February 5.
