Yes, you can can food for your family and friends safely. We will teach you the basics of water bath canning for acidified foods (fruits, tomatoes, pickling, jams/jelly, and salsa). Whether you're new to preserving food with canning or just want a refresher course, this class will give you the tools and knowledge to feel confident in your abilities to take your fresh harvest to shelf-stable food to enjoy all year long.
This class is at 624 Cherokee in Downtown Leavenworth. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty because we will be working with fruits and tomatoes.
